Auto Insurance Wyoming

Wyoming was once a member of the "no-fault" insurance states. However, they have since changed their laws and only require minimal coverage amounts for drivers to be legal. However, you should still consider having higher insurance coverage for your own financial security, if nothing else. As part of the financial responsibility law, Wyoming requires the following minimum auto insurance coverage:

  •     $25,000 injury coverage per person
  •     $50,000 injury coverage per accident
  •     $20,000 property damage coverage per incident

Auto insurance in Wyoming is calculated similarly to other states, using factors including: your driving record, the type of car being insured, your age, gender, and marital status, and how much coverage is desired.

Since Wyoming drivers are no longer under the
"no-fault"  law, you are now responsible for any accidents where you were at fault. This means that you get a citation that goes on your driving record, and that you are liable to pay all damages caused by the accident. If you don't have proper insurance, you could face lawsuits and other legal problems which will cost much more than purchasing adequate auto insurance in the first place.

When purchasing auto insurance in Wyoming, it is important that you shop around and compare rates from different companies. This will allow you to find the best insurance policy for your needs, and also to find a company that not only works for you, but also works WITH you.
